Dr. Barb is licensed in Maine and Oregon as a naturopathic physician, acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist. She graduated from National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, OR in 1997 where she completed a one-year family practice residency. Prior to returning, last year, to her home state of Maine, Barbara was in private practice as a primary care physician and women’s health specialist for the past 13 years in Portland, Oregon. She was also an adjunct professor and clinical supervisor at NCNM. She enjoys connecting with patients and supporting them in achieving their health goals with a variety of natural modalities. Dr. Barb offers a series of free lectures on various natural health related topics at Camden Whole Health, Adult Education, Pen Bay’s Picker Center, Waldo County Hospital, Good Tern Co-Op etc…
Dr. Barb has extensive training in menopause management, women’s natural healthcare and complementary cancer care as well as primary care. She is the co-author of The Breast Cancer Companion: A Complementary Care Manual, published in 2009 and 2010.
